This process creates a series of glaze transfers from a digital or scanned image or photograph. These colour or black and white transfers are then skilfully positioned onto our range of handcrafted or machined tiles before being fired in a kiln. The firing process fused the glaze transfer to the base tile giving a permanent, hygienic and scratch resistant decorated surface.

Using an age old Victorian technique, glaze is piped in layers onto the biscuit surface of the tile. The skilful artist can carefully copy from a photograph or image to pick out areas of relief and detail with raised tubeline glaze, before painstakingly colour glazing the individual partys of the image. This method will give you a totally unique handcrafted masterpiece.
